Tourism and Travel Services

About

:

The tourism and travel services program was opened during the 2015-2016 education period. Education and training continue in Kurucaşile. The language of the program is Turkish.

Purpose

:

To educate competent individuals who have the knowledge and skills that can contribute to the sectoral competitive power and meet the needs of the tourism industry; To contribute to the welfare of the local people, the sustainability of the socio-cultural and natural environment, the achievement of the strategic goals of local governments and the creation of local brands.

Target

:

With the theoretical knowledge acquisition, by carrying out the education for the application; Making reservation, ticketing, customs, visa procedures for businesses offering tourism, travel, entertainment services; Tour, package tour, congress, fair etc. Planning and management of organizations, having effective communication skills with domestic and foreign guests, knowing sales and marketing methods; Ethical, universal human rights and sensitivity to natural habitat, who are aware of cultural heritage, and mid-level manager candidates.

Acceptance Requirements

:

Students will be able to take the exam without passing the exam from Tourism Professional Vocational School (METEG) in our region. If the quotas of this program are not filled with the exam-free transition, both the general high school and the vocational high school will be able to choose the graduates according to the results of the Higher Education Transfer Examination (YGS).

Graduation Requirements

:

A student who has successfully completed all the courses shown in the curriculum, completed at least 120 ECTS credits for graduation, has a CGPA of at least 2.00, has successfully completed an internship of 40 working days and has completed all the studies, is considered to have completed his / her education even if he / Graduation is approved by the board of directors and a diploma of associate degree is given to him / her.

:

Students who graduate from our program can pass to the undergraduate programs of "Business Administration, Business Informatics, Business-Economics, Logistics Management, Travel Management, Travel Management and Tourist Guidance" or they can complete undergraduate education without exam at the Open Education Faculty

Employement Opportunities

:

After graduation they will be able to establish their own business and they can work in Travel Agencies, Transportation Operations (Land, air, sea); Fair, promotion, organization companies, other tourism enterprises and public institutions

Examination Evaluation

:

Examination Assessment is evaluated as the sum of 40% of the midterm exam and 60% of the final exam.

:
